What is Reiki / Ashati / Alsemia
They are different energy healing techniques
The Core Differences Summarized
- Reiki: The foundation, this Japanese modality channels universal life force energy. It focuses heavily on the etheric body, promoting deep physical relaxation, stress relief, and overall wellness. Practitioners typically use symbols and standard hand placements on or just above the body to unblock and balance energy. Well known for Chakra balancing, which I’ll explain below.
- Ashati: This system focuses primarily on emotional and mental healing. It is designed to target repressed emotions, past traumas, limiting beliefs, and mental clutter. The energy used is typically more targeted to help foster mental clarity, peace, and emotional balance.
- Alsemia: This modality takes the work a step further, working on multiple dimensions to target very specific physical, emotional, and energetic blockages. Alsemia utilizes highly magnified energies and is frequently utilized for deep subconscious or past-life healing and for addressing chronic physical conditions.
How They Work Together
While Reiki centers on bringing physical harmony and relaxation, Ashati addresses the psychological and emotional layers, and Alsemia digs deeper to clear profound blockages. I use the combination of these systems to provide a multi-layered, holistic treatment that spans the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle energy healing practice that helps you reconnect with yourself, restore balance, and gain clarity about what needs attention in your life right now.
Many people come to Reiki seeking relaxation, stress relief, or emotional healing. However, Reiki can offer something deeper. It helps bring to the surface emotions, patterns, and energetic imbalances that may be affecting your well-being, relationships, decisions, and personal growth.
In my practice, I work with the understanding that our energy centers, known as chakras, influence many aspects of our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual lives. When these energy centers become unbalanced, we may feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, unmotivated, or uncertain about our next steps.
Reiki helps restore the natural flow of energy and allows you to better understand what your mind, body, and spirit are trying to communicate.
Reiki as Your Inner GPS
I often describe Reiki as a GPS for your life.
Just as a GPS shows you where to look and which direction to take, Reiki helps reveal the areas of your life that are asking for attention. Through emotions, sensations, insights, and increased awareness, Reiki can help you recognize what needs healing, what needs changing, and where your energy is being called.
This is why some people feel emotional after a Reiki session. Those emotions are not something to fear—they can be valuable messages guiding you toward greater understanding and growth.
Reiki is the first step, then Awareness and Action.
Once you understand what needs attention, you can begin making conscious changes that support the life you truly want to create.

Balance Does Not Mean Perfection
Many people believe that healing means having every chakra perfectly balanced all the time. In reality, balance is not perfection. Balance means awareness.
It means noticing when you feel disconnected and knowing how to return to yourself.
Sometimes you need grounding. Sometimes softness… Strength… Rest…
The wisdom lies in recognizing what you need in each moment and allowing yourself to receive it.
Reiki gives you the wisdom to autoregulate your nervous system, emotions, and actions in a clear, calm, and healthy way.
Why Regular Reiki Sessions Matter
Just as we shower regularly to cleanse the body and clean our homes to maintain a healthy environment, our energy also benefits from regular care and attention.
There is no technique that is a one-time fix. “Suspect any professional who offers you a one-time life fix”. Any healing is a practice of ongoing self-care, self-awareness, and energetic maintenance.
For many people, receiving Reiki every two to four weeks helps them stay connected, balanced, and aligned with their personal growth journey.
Whether you are seeking emotional healing, spiritual guidance, clarity, relaxation, or simply a deeper connection with yourself, Reiki can help you move forward with greater awareness, confidence, and flow.”
